GeekOut is a non-profit technology conference organized by ZeroTurnaround AS. This document sets out the terms and conditions between ZeroTurnaround AS and GeekOut conference ticket holders.

By purchasing a ticket to GeekOut conference you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.

ZeroTurnaround AS reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any amended terms and conditions will be posted to this website.

Prices and terms of payment

All tickets are subject to Estonian VAT at 20% of the ticket price, and is charged to all attendees, including participants travelling from abroad; EU & non-EU.

During the completion of the registration participants will be required to provide a means of payment. Payment for tickets can be completed online during the registration process, using a valid credit card, or participants can choose to pay via bank transfer or cheque. In all instances a VAT invoice will be generated. Those participants choosing to pay via bank transfer or cheque will be required to pay the organiser in full for their purchased tickets prior to the event start date. Failure to pay in a timely manner may result in refused entrance to the event.

Refund and cancellation policy

All tickets are non-refundable.

However, it is possible to allocate the ticket to a third party if the ticket has been fully paid for. Ticket holder name, company or any other information can be changed by the person who purchased the ticket by e-mailing the organizer. Each new ticket holder will then receive the confirmation e-mail.

Please note that changes to ticket holder details can be made only until 14 days prior to the event.

The tickets purchased are for your own personal use or that of your business and may not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances. In case of re-sale or attempted re-sale of any tickets (or any other breach of this term), ZeroTurnaround AS reserves the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect.

Entering the event

After purchasing a ticket for GeekOut conference online you will receive an automatically generated registration confirmation and the ticket. This confirmation should be kept for acclaiming your GeekOut namebadge that will grant access to GeekOut.

The pick-up locations and opening hours will be communicated on the GeekOut website and by email at least 1 week prior to the event. When picking up the namebadge, the customer must present a valid ID.

Participant data is collected by the organiser when the participant, or authorised agent of a company purchasing the ticket on behalf of the participant, completes the purchase of a ticket for GeekOut. This data is stored securely by the organiser of GeekOut and is used to send updates about GeekOut to the participant and purchaser of tickets via email. Emails providing general updates to participants about GeekOut include links allowing participants to change their mailing preferences and unsubscribe from future update communications.

Participants will be provided a badge when they enter GeekOut conference. This badge acts as their means of entry into the venue and session rooms. For security reasons participants must retain the badge at all times during their visit to the conference and may be requested by onsite staff to show this. Failure to present a valid badge may result in ejection from the venue. The badge will contain the participants name, company name, and QR code. The QR code contains a unique user identification number, name, company and email address. The participant agrees that by allowing any of the GeekOut sponsors to scan the QR code on their badge, their details can be shared with that specific sponsor, and the participant is opting in to receiving further communication from that sponsor. Attendees will be able to allow other attendees to scan their badge should they choose, with the scanning attendee then being able to see the information contained in the QR code.

Participants further understand that photos and movies may be taken during GeekOut, which may include them. These photos and videos may be used on the GeekOut website, ZeroTurnaround AS website and other related websites, social media, streaming websites and related publications. Participants agree that their image and voice may be included on such videos, movies and recordings.

Event cancellation, postponement & substitution policy

While speakers and topics are confirmed at least 1 month before GeekOut conference, circumstances beyond the control of the organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, ZeroTurnaround AS reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and / or topics, if necessary, without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.

If the event is being cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), ticket buyers will be refunded the total price of the purchased ticket(s). ZeroTurnaround AS does not hold itself liable for any other expenses incurred.

In case of rescheduling GeekOut conference, tickets may be returned by a deadline to be determined by ZeroTurnaround AS.

Liability

ZeroTurnaround AS will not be liable for any loss injury or damage to any person or property howsoever caused. ZeroTurnaround AS will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. Each participant must make provision for his or her own insurance.

ZeroTurnaround AS reserves the right to refuse admission to any event or conference for any behavior, which it deems unacceptable, or for breach of the terms and conditions.
